THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS TO DETERMINE INTEREST AND CAPABILITY OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SMALL BUSINESSES WITH NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NIACS) CODE 541330 -- ENGINEERING SERVICES AND THE SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD OF $15.0M

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Facilities seeks to determine the availability of qualified and capable Architect Engineering (AE) firms to provide SPECIALIZED A/E SERVICES with a primary focus on Interior & Exterior Utility Infrastructure and Utility Generation & Distribution Systems in support of the Division of Design and Construction Management at the NIH, Bethesda, MD and Research Triangle Park, NC campuses.


It is the Government's intention to award two (2), single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for professional Architect Engineering (A/E) services, procured in accordance with the Brooks A/E Act (Public Law 92-582, as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 36.6.) each consisting of one (1) 12-month Base and four (4) 12-month Option periods. Task orders are anticipated to range between from $2,500.00 to $750,000.00.
It is anticipated that one IDIQ shall support projects located in Maryland, and one IDIQ shall support projects located at the NIH Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.


This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; Service Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses (SDVOSB); 8(a) small businesses; Veteran-Owned small businesses (VOSB); Woman-owned small businesses (WOSB); or Small Disadvantaged businesses (SDB); and, (3) their size classification relative to the NAICS code for the proposed acquisition. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice.


It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only.
