BACKGROUND:

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10: MARKET RESEARCH. This notice is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future.B This notice does not commit the Federal Government to contract for any service at this time.

Further, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 23/Services Branch, Sioux Falls, SD, is not at this time seeking offers, and will not accept unsolicited offers.B

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this notice is to conduct market research to determine if there are small business sources capable of providing urgent generator control panel repair for Iowa City VA Health Care System.

02-08-2019 to 02-28-2019

Part must be available, on site, and install must start 02-08-2019; and be completed by 02-28-2019 due to urgency for generator control panel repair to ensure Iowa City VA Health Care System has a backup generator intact to meet critical Veteran patient care.


Description of Service

Urgent Generator Control Panel Repair

This is generator that serves as emergency backup generator for the Iowa City VA Health Care System

Scope of Work

Contractor shall provide all equipment, parts, and labor to replace failed Generator Control Panel (GCP) on the following generator:

Manufacturer: Woodward
Type: 2500 KW Generator
Serial Number: 14572156-0512
GCP Part Number: GCP-3245B/XPQ

Contractor shall have capability of doing the following:

Replace failed GCP with new GCP that is compatible with Woodward generator
Equipment commissioning ensuring that all systems and components are installed per facility requirements
System test GCP to ensure synchronization with generator
Provide updated electrical drawings reflecting any changes upon completion of repair
Provide any required training on GCP upon completion of repair

Verification of Socioeconomic Classification in accordance with NAICS 811310 (Small Business)
Whether or not vendor could meet possible period of performance listed
What percentage of contracted services can vendor potentially and directly complete as the Prime Contractor

Please list Response to IC GCP in subject line of e-mail. Receipt of submittal will be acknowledged by the Contracting Officer.

As this is not a solicitation but market research only, the Contracting Officer will not be accepting technical questions at this time from contractors.
