Urban Campus Janitorial Services
The YWCA of Greater Los Angeles/Los Angeles Job Corps Center (LAJCC) has set-aside a "HUBZone" subcontracting opportunity. The LAJCC is requesting bids for a Janitorial Services provider - Urban Campus. LAJCC intends to award a contract to the responsible company who submits an acceptable proposal that represents the "best value" at the lowest price without holding discussions. All janitorial work will be under the direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor and must be performed in accordance with DOL Wage Determination WD- 15-5613 dated 01/5/2016 or later.
Description: The LAJCC is required to provide a safe and clean environment for the students to learn and live in.
The Place of Performance: The place of performance for this subcontract is located in Downtown, Metropolitan Los Angeles, California.
Offeror Responsibilities: The successful subcontractor will provide janitorial services to the Urban Campus Building located at 1020 South Olive Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015. The Subcontractor shall perform all services identified in the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Performance Work Statement (PWS).
The LAJCC's normal business hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding Government holidays. Subcontractor personnel will be required to work nights as specified in the RFP/PWS. The estimated daily foot traffic is currently between 500 to 600 students and staff members.
Offeror's must maintain a valid, State of California business license. This solicitation requires that Offeror's be registered in the System Award Management (SAM) database pursuant to FAR 4.1102. Information can be found at www.sam.gov. Only Offeror's registered in SAM will be allowed to participate in the proposal and award process.
Proposals will be evaluated to determine if a fair and reasonable price can be negotiated. The projected start date for this subcontract is November 1, 2016. All offers submitted must be valid for 120 days from the closing date for this solicitation. No exceptions or qualifications.
No RFP's will be handed out at the mandatory job walk/pre-proposal conference. Only offeror's who register and attend the mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference and job walk scheduled for August 16th, 2016 will be considered responsive to this solicitation and allowed to submit a proposal for the resulting subcontract.
