This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 "Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items," as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is a request for quotes (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2019-02 Effective June 5, 2019.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), The Rocky Mountain Veterinary Laboratory, Vet Pathology Unit, conducts innovative scientific research on viral agents requiring high or maximum containment (Bio-safety level 2 to Level 4). Research studies focus on vector/reservoir transmission, viral ecology, pathogenesis, pathophysiology and host immune response of these viral pathogens.
