Update to the Comprehensive Plan
The City is seeking to obtain competitive proposals from qualified individuals or firms, interested in carrying out a Comprehensive Plan Major Update. The update is intended to achieve the following goals: 1) A plan that serves as a guide for making decisions and setting policies for City oficials and staff concerning the future development of the City; 2) Comply with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs rules per Chapter 110-12-1; 3) meet requirements to continue Qualified Local Government status; 4) incorporate the ~2.1 square mile annexation area into the Comprehensive Plan Update; 5) incorporate the findings, research and recommendations of the recently adopted Town Center LCI study into the Comprehensive Plan major update; 6) revise and update the findings, research and recommendations of the existing 2030 Comprehensive Plan from 2008.
