PRESOLICITATION NOTICE
This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project Project 583-190-201 Update Inpatient Pharmacy:
1. It is the intention of the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Facility to solicit bids for the following:
Renovate the existing Inpatient Pharmacy area (Bldg 1, A-wing, 7th floor, WTS) so that it meets strict compliance with the latest USP 797 and USP 800 final draft requirements. Renovation of the existing Inpatient Pharmacy area shall include the following work as a minimum:
Modify existing walls, floors, ceilings, MEP as necessary.
Install a dedicated ante-room for the existing Chemo Lab.
Install new refrigerator for Chemo Lab area.
Relocate existing desk units within the Inpatient Pharmacy area.
Relocate existing gravity racks for IV fluid storage.
Ensure that all required HVAC requirements are met.
Install additional stainless-steel shelving units.
Install additional pass-through window(s) within Rooms A-7086D/E/F.
Install additional pass-through refrigerator(s) within Rooms A-7086D/E/F.
Replace existing doors with new sliding doors within the Inpatient Pharmacy area.
2. All items being removed are to be disposed of by the contractor.
3. All above work to be done in accordance with contract drawings and specifications.
This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. with a standard size of $36.5M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue a IFB on or about 27 July 2018 via FEDBIZOPPS.gov. A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
