University of Cincinnati Football Practice Fields
This project will provide one full size and one half size NCAA regulation outdoor practice fields for the varsity
football team. The full field will also be large enough to accommodate a Division 1 lacrosse venue. An air
supported (bubble) structure is proposed for the full field and is intended to be operational from late November
through March. Specific site construction associated with the air supported structure, such as concrete grade
beams for anchoring the structure and vaults recessed into the western slope for housing the associated
mechanical equipment, and for storing the bubble structure, lights, and associated equipment when not in use
will also be required. The football team currently uses Nippert Stadium for its regularly scheduled games and all
of its preseason and season practices.
