This is a SOURCES SOUGHT and is issued solely for information and planning purposed ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The intent of the announcement is to identify sources that are qualified Small Business concerns, including Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, Women Owned and Veteran Owned firms for a Base Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for the National Weather Service Central Region, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The Government proposes to issue a firm fixed price type contract for this requirement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests.

The primary purpose of this contract is to issue task orders to service 38 Weather Forecast Offices (WFO) throughout a 14 state central region (Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming), with a potential ordering area of 32 WFOs throughout a 10 state Southern Region (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas), and 24 WFOs throughout an 8 state Western Region (Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington). The National Weather Service (NWS), is seeking sources who can supplying an assortment of replacement Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) batteries for the Eaton Powerware 9315-50 UPS, the Mitsubishi 2033A 50KVA UPS, and the Mitsubishi 2033A 75KVA UPS.


Based on funding availability, the Government will issue firm fixed priced orders for replacement UPS batteries.


Contract shall be for five years. The estimated contact capacity will be $1.5 million.


North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 335911 (size standard of 1,250 Employees).


Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought synopsis.


All technical evaluation factors and sub factors have not been assigned at this time. Past Performance will be evaluated.


Offerors response to this synopsis shall be limited to ten pages and shall include the following information:
(1) Firm's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e­mail address.
(2) Please provide your DUNS number.
(3) Please indicate the size status and representations of your business, such as but not limited to: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc.)?
(4) Is your company considered small under this NAICS code?
(5) What batteries do you carry for the Eaton 9315-50, Mitsubishi 2033A 75KVA UPS, and Mitsubishi 2033A 50KVA UPS?
(6) Are you the manufacturer, distributor, or an equivalent solution to the items being referenced above?
(7) Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA are you a contract holder with NASA SEWP or any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract number.
(8) If you are an FSS GSA or NASA SEWP contract holder or other federal contract holder, are the items/solution you are providing information for available on your schedule/contract?
(9) Please provide your ability for no cost customer pick up in the Kansas City metro area and optional pick up in the Western and Southern Regions.
