Underwriting and Member Management Application
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit bids for a custom built, webbased
application that addresses two needs for our business.
First, it is to provide the underwriting business unit with a reliable application that will
allow staff to manage communications with members and agents, to develop pricing
and provide rating services as required, provide policies, quotes and documents for
various lines of coverage based on business rules that change from year to year, and to
produce invoices, coverage documents, and reports for the policies.
Secondly, it is to provide a contact management system that integrates with existing
third‐party and home‐grown applications and provides various forms of reporting.
It is CIS intent to evaluate the proposals and contract with a vendor to perform the
services outlined in this document.
