The Food and Drug Administration is conducting market research to assess the availability of small business firms as defined by NAICS code 334516 to provide an Ultra-Low Level Proportional Counter as detailed in the requirements below.
This Sources Sought is to determine the availability and capability of a small business, (ie: certified 8a, small disadvantage, HUB Zone one firms, Veteran owned small business and woman owned small businesses). This information is being sought for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, Solicitation or Request for Quotes, or an indication that the Government will contract for the items or services herein. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to the sources sought. •Must have guard detector
•Counting gas: P-10, 60 cc/min @ 10 psi
•Must have gas-pro protection
•Sample size: 5.1 cm (2 in.) Planchets
•System capacity: 8 detectors in addition to guard detectors
•Depth: 1/8, 1/4, 5/16 inch
•Interface: Remote PC, instrument application software packages: for example, Protean Vesta 2000 or equivalent

*All descriptive material necessary for the government to determine whether the product offered meets the technical requirements including: technical specifications, descriptive material, literature, brochures and other information, which demonstrates the capabilities of the contractor to meet the requirement. Indicate whether the organization is the manufacturer of the items or authorized reseller. If reseller, include the manufacturer's name, address and DUNS number.
*If applicable, identification of the firm's GSA Schedule contract(s) by Schedule number and SINs that are applicable to this potential requirement are also requested.
