This project will consist of the construction of a new North / South Connector Road (possibly
boulevard) along the eastern edge of the current campus (adjacent to and just east of the new
Main Building just completing construction). The new North / South connector road will
include all utility and roadway lighting, landscape, irrigation, with possible culverts/bridges as
required to span the creek(s). The project will include a new electrical loop designated as loop
number 10, originating from a new switch location (new CPS station by others) near or at the
existing CPS electrical substation that will extend to the east to a point and run south
along/adjacent to the new North/South connector road to a point to route under the new East
Paseo Extension to grade to the east. This electrical loop will be rough-in only. Finally, the
project will include an East Paseo extension beginning at the East Sally-port of the new Main
building, extending east (suspended) crossing the new North/South connector road and
creek(s) and touching ground on the east campus area at grade. All scope elements of this
project will be confirmed during programming and reviewed. (Budget allowing, this project
may include a South Boulevard renovation and loop turn-around for Edward Ximeness
Drive, beginning from UTSA boulevard Drive, north to the south west corner of parking lot
number 9, ending with the loop turn-around).
This project is both Architecturally significant, sensitive and Engineering challenging.
