2010 United States Social Forum
Request for Proposal from potential Host City and Anchor Organizations
The application must be the work of a host city anchor team-3 to 5 organizations working together to anchor the local social forum process and as part of the National Planning Committee. Each member of the team must submit a letter stating their commitment to be a part of the anchor host committee, and telling us how they understand the role they can play in the 2010 social forum process.
The application of the anchor organizations will be assessed on their ability:
* To create a process embedded in the needs/work of the host city anchor organization(s), in collaboration with the USSF National Planning Committee, capable to support and help build the next 2010 Social Forum.
* To recruit for, coordinate and anchor a local organizing committee which reflects the diversity of skills, sectors, and peoples needed to anchor the five day 2010 Social Forum.
* To help build the logistics, and a local infrastructure for staging the 2010 Social Forum.
