USS EMORY S LAND (AS-39) Regular Overhaul/Dry Docking
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time.
Military Sealift Command Norfolk has a requirement for the USS EMORY S LAND (AS-39) for a Regular Overhaul/Dry Docking, on/about 17 August 2020 for 150 days. The place of performance will be at a Contractor's facility on the West or Gulf Coast or Hawaii.
While the finalized list of work items is still under development, a draft list is separately attached to this notice and a list of the noteworthy work is as follows:
1) General Services for Ship
2) Structural Repairs throughout the ship
3) Preservation of Tanks, Voids, and Cofferdams
4) Fixed Ballast Install
5) Boiler Superheater Tubes Replace
6) Gyrocompass System Replacement
7) CHT Piping Replacement
8) SSTG Steam Turbine and Reduction Gear Servicing
9) Propulsion Shaft Removal and Replacement
10) Underwater Hull and Freeboard Painting
Please provide a response demonstrating your firm's experience in performing similar work. This procurement will be solicited under NAICS Code 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,250 employees. Indicate if your company is a large or small business, and if a small business, indicate if you fall within any of the further classifications (HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.)
