USED OR REFURBISHED COHERENT LIBRA LASER
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a Used/Refurbished - Coherent Libra Laser - Ultra-Stable, 1 kHz Repetition-Rate, Titanium:Sapphire Amplifier System operating at nominal 800 nm wavelength with less than 100 femtosecond pulse width and ~ 1 milliJoule energy per pulse with Transverse ElectroMagnetic (TEM00) Spatial Mode output power. One-box, compact, computer-controlled system contains integrated Vitesse/Vitara seed laser, Evolution pump laser, regenerative amplifier, stretcher and compressor. Includes 15 Watt frequency-doubled 532 nanometer wavelength pump laser (Evolution 15). Includes Lytron chiller. Both the Vitesse seed laser and the Titatinum:Sapphire amplifier laser systems have been tested and are at Coherent Libra nominal specifications (listed above). This system does not include the Evolution power supply, high voltage Q-switch power supply, cables, and synchronization and delay generator (SDG).
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.
