The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking qualified and certified contractors with Daikin certified and Daikin trained HVAC technicians for maintenance, repair and replacement services for a Daikin VRV heating, ventillation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system at a remote USCG site located in Matthew Town, Great Inagua, Bahamas. Contractors will be required to obtain all lodging, per diem, and travel to and from Matthew Town, GI, Bahamas to complete contracted services for the USCG. Logistics to and from Matthew town, GI are challeging and choices for air travel and hotels are limited. Most flights to and from Matthew Town (IATA: IGA, ICAO:MYIG) must be routed through Nassau (IATA:NAS, ICAO: MYNN) and typically flights to and from GI are only on Modays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Based on experience with other contracted projects and services; the recommended commercial lodging on Great Inagua for contractors is the Ingua Main House (website-www.inaguamainhouse.com); however, there may be other lodgeing options avaiable.

The information obtained from this notice is for market research only and will be used to determine method of procurement or other set-aside programs. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow up information requests. No tetephone calls will be accepted requesting an RFQ package or solicitation. There is no RFQ package or solicitation. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any furture procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement. information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made.

The contractor's HVAC Technicians shall possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical trade school, with a certificate in HVAC; and three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivlent combination of education and experience. The Contractor's HVAC technicians shall posses a working knowleged or refrigeration theory, air systems, control applications, pipefitting and structural layouts. The contractor's HVAC installation technicians shall possess 3 or more years of Daikin VRV system experience to include; installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing. The Contractor's HVAC technicians shall possess/provide the following  speceialized Daikin VRV service tools: 1) Daikin's services checker (DACA-SRVCHECK-1) with most current software 2) Inverter analyzer (DACA-INVANLY-1) 3) transmission monitor (DACA-RAMONIT-1) 4). Megohmmetter- insulation tester. The Contractor's HVAC technicians shall be trained and proficient in the use of the Daikin service checker (connecting, operating, downloaking data/records and analyzind data). the contractor's HVAC technicinas must have a valid/current EPA Certification. All the contractor's employees travelling to and from Great Inagua shall posses a valid/current Driver's License and valid/current passport as international travel will be required. If the contractor has non U.S. Citizen employees, they must possess the required residency and/or visa allowing them to work on a federal project site. All the contractor's employees will be subject to a security check. All the contractor's employees shall be able to converse in English.
