USAID/Strengthening Democratic Linkages in Uganda
To build the capacity of Civil Society Groups to carry out its functions more effectively and to strengthen linkages between civil society, local governments, and the Parliament, the LINKAGES project is seeking firms that are qualified to provide high quality training and technical assistance to selected civil society groups in the following areas: Policy formulation and legitimization, Consensus building and constituency building, Resource mobilization, Advocacy around priority national policy issues and local development issues, Civic education related to government institutions, operations, and procedures, particularly in the context of multi-party democracy, Government monitoring and oversight, Promotion of transparency and accountability, Engagement with Parliament and local government and other areas as identified in the
course of project implementation that relate to the capacity and effective functioning of civil society groups in Uganda.
