USAFSAM C-17 Aeromedical Evacuation Trainer Fuselage
The 711th Human Performance Wing (HPW), United States School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), is conducting market research to identify potential commercial sources for an emerging requirement to transport one C-17 fuselage from Randolph Air Force Base (AFB), TX to 711 HPW/USAFSAM Wright Patterson AFB (WPAFB), OH, approximately 1,260 mile distance. Requirement is to disassemble using the existing engineering splices, transport, reassemble and beddown a full size C-17 fuselage as a turnkey operation. The receiving unit plans to use the fuselage as an aeromedical evacuation trainer.
