UK-Birkenhead: motor vehicles for the transport of 10 or more persons
This service involves transporting children with special education needs, who may be wheelchair users or have mobility needs, to and from school, by either door to door minibus/tailgate vehicle, or taxi either shared or single occupancy. Looked after children journeys may be regular journeys required over several weeks or one-off journeys at any time of the day. Mileage/daily rates submitted or approved tenders may be used as required. Ad hoc journeys will be subject to a previous agreed mileage/daily rates already submitted. Contractors should note that pupil profiles alter throughout each academic year. Strictly no waiting time is to be charged to this contract. The Council may terminate this contract due to internal or external factors that could result in changes of demand.
