The University of California, Davis, currently utilizes NetID for Campus and Residential Network
(ResNet) Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) address assignment, and Aspiga to manage
Campus Domain Name System (DNS) records. NetID is a commercial product that has reached
end of life and is no longer supported by the vendor. Aspiga is a utility written at UCD that is
also no longer being developed. In light of this, the current solutions will be replaced.
Deployment will be conducted in two phases, in the following order:
1. Campus DHCP service
2. Campus DNS management services
