Tribal Tobacco Prevention Evaluation
ClearWay Minnesota seeks evaluation services for the Tribal Tobacco Education and Policy
(TTEP) initiative. The evaluation will look at the TTEP initiative in its entirety as well as each
individual grantee. It is anticipated that up to five TTEP grantees, all from within tribal nations in
Minnesota, will be funded during the period of this evaluation. (ClearWay Minnesotas longterm
goal is to work with all tribal nations in Minnesota and support their efforts to advance
smoke-free tribal government policies, but not all will undertake this work during this initial
two-year evaluation period.) The TTEP initiative is a unique effort to provide support to enable
tribal communities to undertake educational and policy efforts to change community norms and
policies that will reduce use of commercial tobacco and exposure to secondhand smoke.
