The following is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This posted notice is not a Pre-Solicitation or Solicitation document. The government is not currently soliciting bids, quotes or proposals at this time; however, reserves the right to do so at a later date. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 has a future BRAND NAME requirement for a Marathon Model RJ250 SC-30 30 YD, Self-contained compactor. Please see below for complete specifications required. The requirement also includes removal of the existing compactor (same type), and delivery, mounting and installation of new.


Specifications/ Requirements:

Marathon RJ 250 SC-30 self-contained, 30YD compactor
Liquid tight compactor/container w/remote power pack
10 HP motor
Side feed doghouse with double doors (both sides), mounted
Driver safe 24V interlock circuit on separate relayed circuit with disconnect plug assembly
Hard plumb mid body hose connections and plug interface, LH side
Oil heater with thermostatic control
Universal 36 rails, double end pick-up
Remote power pack with controls in panel box face
Fullness package 80% and 100% full light
Full length channel guide rails, bolt down type, 30 long, painted

Process in 38 U.S.C. 8127(d) whereby a contracting officer of the Department shall award contracts on the basis of competition restricted to small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans, if the contracting officer has a reasonable expectation that two or more small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans will submit offers, and that the award can be made at a fair and reasonable price that offers the best value to the United States.
