Transition Outreach Specialist
The purpose of the Transition Outreach Specialist (TOS) is to locate students with hearing loss who may be underserved or un-served prior to graduation and make referrals to services providers. The Transition Outreach Specialist works in partnership with appropriate high school personnel including special education personnel, school counselors, designated 504 coordinators, classroom educators and others as appropriate as well as parent groups, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Audiologists and DARS Transition Counselors and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors to identify and refer this un-served and underserved population group.
