Transit Management Services
The Charlotte Area Transit Systems (CATS), a department of the City of Charlotte (City), is seeking a qualified Transit Management Firm to provide professional transit management services for the Bus Operations Division. The City wishes to engage a firm to provide the day-to-day management of the transit system using a resident management team. This team may be supported by the corporate staff of the firm and other individuals who possess technical expertise relevant to the effective operation of
the transit system. The initial contract term will be for three (3) years, with the option for the City to extend the contract for two additional one-year periods, for a total contract term of five years. The City will not be responsible or liable for any costs, due to circumstances beyond their control, to the Transit Management Firm if these services do not begin by September 1, 2008.
The selected Transit Management Firm shall provide oversight and management of the personnel, transit routes, maintenance, materials, supplies, training, and superintendence necessary for safe, courteous, and reliable transportation of passengers.
