Plans, specifications and estimates for the construction of a new transit station.
Station with station house facilities located at grade level and center platform at track level. The new station design must be environmentally responsible and incorporate sustainable features where applicable. The work includes, but is not limited to: demolition or removal of existing structure either with or without adjacent rail traffic; structural steel and concrete fabrication, installation and/or modification of the existing structure carrying rail facilities in accordance with the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Manual for Railway Engineering; installation and/or modification of existing structures in accordance with applicable codes; fabrication, installation and/or modification of new and/ or existing signal, communication, security, electrical, mechanical, structural and HV AC systems; architectural finishes, steel, concrete and finish work for station house and platform; civil, structural and utility work as required to support the operation of the new facility and restoration of adjacent site; track work, communications, signaling and other related rail operation support infrastructure modification, construction and replacement; fabrication and installation of vertical circulation elements (stairs, escalators and elevator); staging and temporary construction as required for the new station and to maintain operations; fare collection; and all other work related to the completion and successful operation of a transit facility.
