Transformers Needed
Background: This is the third posted solicitation for stock transformers required by Seattle City Light (SCL) and in accordance with SCL Material Standard (M/S) 0035.5 Rev. 3-22-2002 (Section 6). All previous postings have been unsuccessful in achieving our goal of getting a bidder that is both responsive to the City's standard requirements and complies with the requirements set forth in the ITB and SCL M/S 0035.5.
It is very important that all bidders for this solicitation can comply with the City's requirements with no exceptions which includes to our Terms and Conditions (Section 10), Effective Date of Offer (Section 7), Prohibition on Advance Payments (Section 6). Bids should not be submitted with added language or vendor terms.
It is also very important that all bidders complete and submit the Bid Offer Form (Section 8) and that the transformers being bid conforms to ALL requirements set forth in SCL M/S 0035.5 (Section 6).
Purpose: This invitation to bid is to identify a successful bidder, who can provide the City of Seattle with the following six (6) Power Transformers:
Two (2) Stk. # 345588 5000 kVA transformers, and four (4) stk. # 345592 7500 kVA transformers all in accordance with SCL Material Standard 0035.5 REV. 3-22-2002 included in Section 6 with the following exceptions:
