Training Support Services
The Contractor shall provide training support services to conduct intermediate level instructional courses for maintenance of the Dowty R391 Propellers installed on the HC-130J and HC-27J aircraft. The specific course topics are: propeller regrease and composite blade repair services. The training shall take place in both a classroom setting and a shop/lab environment, with the preponderance of instruction time
being "hands-on" a Dowty propeller using pre-defined maintenance procedures. Upon completion of propeller regrease course, students shall be able to demonstrate the ability to conduct the required regrease maintenance of the Dowty propeller and also be able to repair damages on the propeller blade within the guidelines and procedures outlined by the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Additionally, the Coast Guard requires a conractor who is, at a minimum, an authorized repair facility for the propellers for the re-grease and composite blade repair. The contractor shall perform the training on a Coast Guard propeller at Air Station Elizabeth City, NC.
