Training Program for Code Professionals
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued by the Department of Public Safety, Public Safety Services, Office of Management & Finance (herein referred to as the State) for the purpose of obtaining competitive proposals as allowed by Louisiana Revised Statutes 39:1503 from bona fide, qualified training providers that are interested in providing experienced and readily available nationally consistent based code enforcement training and related products and services.
Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council (LSUCCC) desires to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities of recognized and experienced code enforcement professionals throughout the state. This is in response to Act 12 of the 2005 First Extraordinary Session of the Louisiana Legislature (Act 12) and the adoption of the International Codes including the 2006 International Building Code (IBC), 2006 International Residential Code (IRC), 2005 National Electrical Code (NEC) NFPA 70, 2000 Louisiana State Plumbing Code (LSPC), 2006 international Mechanical Code (IMC), 2006 International Existing Building Code (IEBC), and 2006 International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), Permit Technician Administration Skills, Permit Technician Technical I-Code Training. In order to accomplish this, a minimum of 30 days of code enforcement training in each of the following cities; Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria, Natchitoches, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and in New Orleans/St. Tammany Parish area are to be delivered for a total of 240 days of training. Services for this program are to include:

Code Books (provided by the State and delivered to the contractor in accordance with the approved final Master Plan), Distribution and Tracking
