The Department is seeking services for the TA 5 and 6 – Trail Brush Management Project. Trails are used for vehicular traffic as well as for foot traffic. Some trails are lined with cedar, oak, and mesquite trees which are encroaching on the trails, causing visibility problems and vehicle damage. The objective for this contract is to a) reduce woody species’ encroachment along trails, b) provide open easements along trails for future maintenance and drainage installation, and c) improve visibility for safer vehicle operation. Primary method for tree removal is mechanical with potential follow up treatment with herbicide.
