Town Center Resiliency Plan
On behalf of the City the Community Foundation is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to consultant teams to embark on a, no-longer-than, 6 month planning process to create a plan for a resilient Town Center. The foundation in partnership with the City is prepared to provide $175,000 for the creation of a Town Center Plan. Proposals are due October 22, 2010.
The City is interested in a forward looking, visionary, and bold strategy along with implementable tactics capable of growing an already charming area of town into a model Town Center, for others to emulate. The way forward should embrace New Urbanism and Smart Growth principles, and result in a masterpiece of Civic Art and a Town Center of timeless design that will be an inspiration for all and an enduring public space for the celebration of life.
