For this new course, FSI is seeking an innovative and dynamic approach that extends learning outside of the classroom where possible, or completely, and integrates the use of educational technologies to ensure a highly experiential learning process for participants. Course content is intended to provide foreign affairs professionals with a framework for thinking about the future of diplomacy over the next 10-15 years so they are prepared to identify key global technology changes and paradigm shifts, analyze the implications of those changes, and create responsive strategies that seize opportunities and mitigate threats.
To support this purpose, the course may incorporate new technologies themselves into the classroom structure and format to take advantage of learning that such technologies can inspire while also serving as formative ways to understand experientially the impact of such new technologies.
