Request for Proposals: To Operate a Summer Youth Employment Program
The Westchester County Department of Social Services Office of Workforce Investment, on behalf of the Westchester/Putnam Local Workforce Investment Board ("LWIB"), is soliciting proposals from public and private not-for-profit organizations to operate a summer youth employment program that will provide work experience to youth ages 14-20 years of age and enrolled in High School full time for the upcoming school year. The New York State Office of Children and Family Services is expected to fund the TANF Summer Youth Employment program. The availability and level of funding has yet to be determined. This RFP is being issued to solicit proposals in the anticipation of funding being made available.
This RFP is soliciting proposals to serve the youth of Westchester County, exclusive of the City of Yonkers. A separate RFP may be issued for summer employment for youth employment services for Putnam County.
