This Sources Sought/Market Survey Notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, PO Box 492, Ann Arbor, MI 48106 to identify sources that can provide and install an AUTOMATED TISSUE DISSOCIATOR for the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI, 48105.

Background
The Ann Arbor VA requires an automated tissue dissociator for use in isolating immune cells from melanoma tumors. The dissociator shall be able to perform flow cytometry, transcriptome analysis, and adoptive transfers, and be capable of isolating CD8+ T cells and other tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes without disrupting cellular integrity. The tissue dissociator shall be able to process up to 8 tissue samples at a time, with customizable programs for incubation temperature (37 C, time, speed (+20-+4,000 rpm), Rotation direction (clockwise, counter-clockwise), loop cycles and ramp time (time to reach certain speed). The tissue dissociator shall be able to program each sample independently and run all eight simultaneously.
Functionality
The tissue dissociator shall be capable of providing the following functions:
Be capable of isolating CD8+ T cells and other tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes without disrupting cellular integrity
Must be able to accommodate samples from 300 microliters to 10 mL total volume, and 20 to 4000 mg of tissue
Provide analysis by flow cytometry, transcriptome analysis, and adoptive transfers
must be programmable for custom workflows for the following criteria;
Temperature (heated or not)
Time of incubation
Speed (+20-+4,000 rpm)
Rotation direction (clockwise, counter-clockwise)
Loop cycles
Time to reach certain speed (ramp time)
Must be able to run 8 samples simultaneously
Each sample must be able to be programmed independently
The heat source must be capable of heating all eight samples at to 37 degrees C (incubation temperature)
Warranty and Service
The equipment shall include a warranty for repair service to address any instrument defects and parts and labor for necessary repairs. Technical support and software upgrades shall be included as well.
Security
The C&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. No sensitive data will be stored on the device. The device will not be connected to the VA network nor will it have access to sensitive patient data.
Installation
The contractor shall be responsible for installing the device in the research lab in room 112 of building 31 at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in Ann Arbor, located at 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor MI, 48105.
