Purpose/Description:
The Boeing Vertol Rotary Fuel Pump, Part Number A02PS418-1 (original OEM Stellar Hydraulics), NSN 7RH 4320 000715740, is used on the C-2A aircraft as part of its extended range system.
This pump was previously used on the CH-46A. The pump housings and internal parts may be up to 60 years old. Data is limited/non-existent and subject to export controls.

Pump Characteristics:
A). Use:                Motor driven pump in aircraft fuel system
B). Operating Medium:        Aviation turbine fuel, MIL-DTL-5624, Grade JP-4
C). Rated Flow:            500 gallons per hour at 21.5 PSIG with -1.5 PSIG inlet pressure
D). Bypass Valve Relief Settings:    35.0 PSIG
E). Inputs Power Requirements:    115/200 volts AC, 3 phase, 400 Hz
F). Current Drain (maximum):    8.0 amperes at 115 volts AC, line to neutral
G). Duty:                Continuous
H). Ports(2):                Per AND10050-16
I). Ambient Temperature Range:    -54B0C (-65B0F) to +74B0C (+165B0F)
J).
Weight (approximate):        6 pounds

Due to known parts obsolescence, the Navy is seeking alternative solutions for:
1.    The repair of the Boeing Vertol Fuel Pump, part number A02PS418-1;
2.    The manufacture of the same or similar pump;
3.    The identification of a commercial pump capable of meeting the Navybs needs; or
4.    A viable alternate.

Please provide the above information by close of business 3/2/2017. The information will be used to assess if a contractor is eligible to view our display pump and data.
Parties that are deemed eligible will be contacted to make appointments to examine our nonoperational pump.

The Navy will display from 4/3/2017 to 4/14/2017 a Non-Ready for Issue (NRFI) pump at NAVSUP WSS Philadelphia, Bldg #1, 700 Robbins Ave., Philadelphia., PA 19111. In addition to the pump, the Navy will also display a limited amount of data in its possession. Note some data can only be released to US based Department of Defense contractors. Viewing the pump and data is by appointment only.

Appointment scheduling to view the display pump and accompanying data will be done through Mr. John Pluciennik. All appointments will be schedule by 3/15/2017.

After examining the display, interested parties are encouraged to provide a brief description of their solution to the pump obsolescence problem.
Written responses by email should be received no later than close of business 4/26/2017. This description should be detailed enough to provide a basic understanding of their idea, but less detailed than a proposal. Presentations, proposals or cost data are not requested at this time and should not be submitted. This RFI is solely to gather ideas and solutions.
