1. JIATFS has a requirement to install 2 SpiraCone model 3002A-36HE antennas designated as new sp-1 located at GPS coordinates 24 34' 22.81'N, 81 40' 24.94 quote mark W(Figure 1, Site #A) new sp-2 located at GPS coordinates 24 34' 24.63'N, 81 40' 24.38 quote mark W (Figure 1, Site #B). Antenna array configuration will be for Northern Hemisphere Transmit also known as Left Hand Circular Polarization..
2. The contractor will implement a two (2) phased approach to the aforementioned installation of the two (2) transmit tri-mode SpiraCone antennas. Phase One (1); the contractor will install one (1) spiral antenna at the associated location made available. Phase Two (2), once the first spiral antenna's mission capability is verified, install the last spiral antenna at the associated location made available, and verify full mission capability.
3. Perform grounding, bonding, shielding and lightening protection (GBSLP) on all newly installed antennas and coax. The GBSLP shall be provided in a manner that allows for all components of the antenna to be tied into an EEN system in accordance with (IAW) MIL-STD-188-124B, notice 3, dated 11 Dec 2000, MIL-HDBK-419A Vol. 1 & 2, dated 29 Dec 1987 and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
4. Transmission line shall be verified by contractor to meet line loss no greater than that specified by manufacturer in respect to length used. The government will provide new connectors, coaxial splice kits and coaxial grounding kits, all of which shall be compatible with existing connectors at the facility and the new coax.
5. Install the six coaxial cables for the two transmit tri-mode SpiraCone antennas.
6. Provide a contractor representative to be present in support of a Government-led inspection and operational test of the installed antenna and antenna subsystems.
