The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District (POH) seeks to remove and replace existing window and split-unit air conditioning systems at Bldg 230, Fort Shafter, and Bldg T127, Tripler Army Medical Center, Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Service contract will be to remove six (6) air conditioner units, purchase and reinstall in-kind for existing split units and replace window units with split systems. The contract will also include the survey of the existing electrical panels at Bldg 230, Fort Shafter to determine the existing load capacity of the electrical panel(s) prior to installation of the new air conditioning units. Lastly, contractor will evaluate the information from the existing electrical panel survey and develop a plan for replacing all window and malfunctioning units with split system units in Bldg 230. The plan will identify which electrical panel requires upgrade and include specifications for the upgrade. If applicable, an electrical panel upgrade phasing plan will be included to recommend whether panels will be upgraded concurrently with AC unit replacements or done in entirety prior to replacing units. Bldg 230 is a three-story building and Bldg T127 is one story - high bay ceiling building; therefore, the work may be at height, and may require lift equipment and fall protection measures.
