This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for NAICS: 511210. The U.S. Army, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, 66027 intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase order with Carahsoft Technology Corp for VMware. The items to be purchased are 24 x vCloud Suite 5 Enterprise Licenses, 1 x vCenter Server Standard for vSphere license, 1 x vCenter Server Heartbeat 6 for 1 vCenter Server license - POP ADC to 29 SEP 14. Additionally, support and maintenance will be purchased for 48 x vCloud Suite 5 Enterprise Licenses, 2 x vCenter Server Standard for vSphere 5, and 1 x vCenter Server Heartbeat 6 for 1 vCenter Server - POP 30 SEP 14 - 29 SEP 15.
This is a sole source procurement under Acquisition of Commercial Items (FAR 12), and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office by 1700 Central Time on 6 June 2013. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement. Responses are due 6 June 2014, 1700 Central Time.
