The Texas Public Finance Authority (the "Authority") is a state agency that issues revenue and general obligation securities to finance projects for the State as directed by the Legislature. For further detailed information about the Authority and its work, please see www.tpfa.state.tx.us/AboutUs.asp
The Authority issues debt on behalf of approximately 26 other state agencies (client agencies), and 3 universities. Therefore, the Authoritys key service populations are other state agencies, and indirectly, the service populations served by those agencies.
Furthermore, because it is one of the primary state bond issuers, the Authority plays a major role in shaping the public finance industrys perception of the States debt issuance practices. The industry includes financial advisors, bond counsel, underwriters, investors, credit analysts, rating agencies and federal regulators.
