The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a dredging contract for the Texas City Channel, Texas, Main Channel Pipeline Dredging in Galveston County, Texas.

Project Information: The work consists of Schedule No. 1 - Pipeline maintenance dredging of the Texas City Main Channel between Stations 15+000 to 7+000 of approximately 405,000 cubic yards; Option No. 1 between Stations 5+500 to 7+00 of approximately 25,000 CY; Option No. 2 between Stations 15+000 to 20+000 of approximately 133,000 CY. All dredge material will be discharged into Placement Area SPPA 3, 4 and 5. 24 Hour monitoring of Placement Area during discharge operations will be required. Dredge material shall be deposited into specified discharge areas. SPPA 3-4-5 is accessible by water only. Contractors will be required to provide documentation showing sections are cleared when submitting request for Government AD Surveys.


Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 50 calendar days. An additional 6 calendar days will added to the contract for Option No. 1 and 9 calendar days for Option No. 2 if exercised. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3,519.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted.


The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the notice to Proceed.


The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.


The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million.


The solicitation will be issued on or about 25 October 2018. Response date is 27 November 2018 @ 2:00 PM (Amend 0001) (All bids must be submitted electronically via AMRDEC Safe). The estimated award date for this project is December 2018.
