Tetherless Handgun Recoil Kits for the Sig Sauer - Model P320
The U.S. Army Special Operations Command intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with VirTra Systems, Inc., 7970 S, Kyrene Road, Tempe, Arizona 85284 to establish a firm fixed priced purchase order for 6 Tetherless Handgun Recoil Kits - Model P320.
Thorough market research was conducted which resulted in the determination that these specific recoil kits were commercially designed and configured to work with the simulator and all accessories and services are only available from its producer/manufacturer and not through any dealers or distributors. No other sources possess the capability to meet the Government's requirement.
This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the Government's intent to enter into a contract with VirTra Systems, Inc., Tempe, Arizona for 6 Tetherless Handgun Recoil Kits - Model P320.
The Government intends to award a sole source award in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and will be made pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements for the above stated supplies.
The Government's determination not to compete this proposed contract action is based on agency market research. Responses to this notice may be collected for future requirements however, due to immediate mission needs, will not be considered for the purposes of this acquisition.
