Telephone Quitline
Product/Service Description: This request for proposal (RFP) is seeking a contractor to offer telephone Quit Line services, serving up to 2,000 callers per year. Through this RFP the Vermont Department is soliciting bids from organizations to implement the following: ? Provide callers with descriptions and referrals to all of Vermonts cessation services, as is appropriate based on their stage of change and needs. ? Provide proactive telephone counseling for those callers who enroll in Quit Line services. ? Enroll smokers through the use of a fax referral or electronic referral. ? Provide nicotine replacement therapies (shipped directly) to smokers who call, based on Vermonts guidelines for eligible populations. ? Collect and report to the state information needed to provide to insurance companies who collaborate with the State to reimburse for these therapies. ? Collect and report out data according to the guidelines as set out in the North American Quitline Consortiums (NAQC) Minimum Dataset (MDS). ? Obtain consent for evaluation of Quitline services at the 7th month post registration. ? Provide to the state of Vermont a full and complete de-identified raw dataset that includes all intake and evaluation variables collected.
