The Center for Implementing Technology in Education (CITEd) is a national project funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. CITEd was established to assist states and districts to build their capacity to improve the performance of struggling students through the effective integration of technology (see www.cited.org). CITEd provides this support though the identification of best practices, innovative online technical assistance tools, professional development, and online communities of practice. Located at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in Washington, D.C., other key collaborating organizations include EDC (Education Development Center, Inc) and CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology).
