Technical Support to Develop the 2035 State Highway Plan
The Transportation & Mobility Planning Division is seeking expressions of interest from consulting firms who wish to be considered for providing professional engineering/planning services in the development of the Commonwealths 2035 Highway Plan. The 2035 State Highway Plan will detail proposed improvements to Virginias federal functional classified roadways. This contract will be comprised of two main initiatives. The first initiative is to conduct a thorough examination of Virginias Interstate and Primary highway systems to identify short/mid-term operational and safety improvements. This initiative is entitled TOPICS (Targeted Operational Projects to Improve Capacity and Safety). The second initiative is to provide technical support in developing Regional Long-Range Plans (RLRPs) for the non-metropolitan areas of the state. These two statewide efforts will be carried concurrently.
