This is a non-personal services contract to provide instructional design services at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, in support of the, Curriculum Development Division, Academy of Health Sciences (AHS), U.S.
Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC&S).

The AMEDDC&S has a requirement for an increase in pre-deployment training, services and products to support military medical training throughout the US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM). AMEDDC&S is responsible for training and educating medical personnel. To accomplish this mission, AMEDDC&S must provide trained and ready medical personnel to support worldwide contingency operations;
produce concepts, doctrine and organizational structure that meets current and future force requirements; create
integrated and relevant training strategies, products and programs and make them available for use; and support the Readiness and Managed Care missions of the Military Health System.


The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary for contract staff to perform curriculum review and evaluation,coordination, and execution of course support services TCMC as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract.

Instructors will need to be in good physical condition. Instructors will be required to demonstrate skills to be taught which will include lifting and carrying equipment (i.e. mannequins) and/or materials weighing up to 150 pounds. On occasion, the contractor instructor must carry this equipment up and down stairs and on uneven terrain in the normal functions of his/her job. Contract instructor must be able to demonstrate all hands on TCCC skills while in tactical gear (body armor, helmet, simulated weapon, gloves, knee pads, safety glasses and aid bag)outdoors and in inclement weather. The work requires long periods of standing while teaching in the classroom or field and in inclement weather. While participating in training, duty may require standing for an 8-hour shift or longer. The contract instructor will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed during inclement
weather.
