T-34/T-44 Landing Gear Overhaul/Repair
This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is seeking a contractor for the T-34 and T-44 Landing Gear Overhauls. Overhauls shall be performed in accordance with the applicable OEM Technical Manuals/Data and the Government provided publications provided in the bidderbs library.
The T-34 and T-44 were procured under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Type Certificate in the late 1970s and have been maintained as commercial derivative aircraft. The Navy operates its T-34 and T-44 aircraft primarily at low altitude from oceanfront shore bases, a highly corrosive environment, while performing higher than normal landings during the assigned training and training support missions. The Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) currently operates fifty-four (54) T-44s at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, TX.
Additionally, satellite site users operate sixteen (16) T-34s.
