The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the design-build construction services to selectively demolish the existing roof of the TSF Bldg. 215. Work includes affected details and rooftop elements, modify parapets and vertical transitions, replace damaged insulation, install a new modified bitumen roof membrane atop protection board and polyisocyanurate insulation and replace the existing roof top translucent building system. The estimated area of the TSF Roof is 100,000 square feet.

All interested businesses are encouraged to submit a response to this market survey.

The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendorbs expense.

The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all businesses capable of fulfilling this requirement. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine if full and open competition is appropriate.

Depending on the responses received from the market survey, the FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a)Program.

The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this effort is 236210, Industrial Building Construction, with a size standard of $36.5 Million.

HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS MARKET SURVEY: Interested contractors should submit the following documents to the point of contact listed in this announcement:

Capability Statement - This document should identify: a) Type of services provided by your firm b)Number of years in business c) Geographic area where your company can provide services d)Previous experience for work involving similar scope.

Please ensure your response includes the following details:

1. A minimum of three (3) projects that are similar scope.
2. Dollar value of each project submitted in response.
3. Projects are underway, or have been completed within past 5 years.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A PAGE LIMITATION OF FOUR (4) PAGES MAXIMUM PER RESPONSE TO THIS MARKET SURVEY. THIS IS ONLY A REQUEST FOR GENERAL INFORMATION. EXCESSIVE SUBMISSIONS ARE NOT DESIRED.

The deadline to receive comments or questions concerning the market survey is Tuesday, 20 August 2019, at 3:00 pm CST. The Contracting Office and Program Office must have sufficient time to review comments/questions in order to provide meaningful feedback and disseminate amongst all interested parties. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short- term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts.
