TRANSITION AGE YOUTH
Marin County Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) requests proposals for a Transition Age Youth (TAY) Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) project for youth/young adults (ages 16-25) who are at-risk for developing a mental illness or experiencing negative outcomes due to underlying mental health issues, such as depression, substance abuse, suicidal behaviors, school failure or criminal justice system involvement. This project will provide culturally appropriate mental health education, screening, and assistance in collaboration with agencies currently serving transition age youth. Marin County CMHS has a maximum of $80,000 available annually to cover the expenses incurred under a contract to be awarded as a result of this RFP. The estimated start date for the program is May 15, 2009.
