TRANSFER CREDIT EVALUATION TOOL
The County Community College District intends to acquire or license a software tool or service for the purpose of evaluating transfer credit on incoming transcripts. Currently, transcripts are evaluated separately at each of the ten colleges, using different tools. The selected solution will enable a single business process, with transcripts evaluated once and shared across all ten colleges. MCCCD evaluates approximately 25,000 transcripts per academic year, and serves approximately 275,000 individual students per academic year, which equates to approximately 85,000 Full-Time Equivalent students per year. Transcript evaluations may increase significantly, potentially two- or three-fold, once a tool and new process are in place.
