NASA/KSC has a requirement for an sixteen Telemetry Data Processors (TDP), Series 2350.
NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from GDP Space Systems, a division of Delta information Systems.
GDP Space Systems TDPs are currently in use at both east coast and west coast launch facilities. As a result, a significant amount of custom software has been developed and tested by NASA/KSC telemetry engineers to work with this particular TDP. Deviation from this TDP would be expensive in terms of time and cost related to any redevelopment, retest and retraining of operations personnel.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
