The Cancer Etiology Branch (CEB) of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Division of Cancer Biology (DCB) has
a continuing requirement to provide for the synthesis, isolation, purification, and characterization of a number of
different research compounds of interest to the carcinogenesis research community. A majority of these compounds
will be synthesized to replace depleted chemical stocks. New chemicals may be added to meet scientific researchers'
demand upon approval of the Project Officer. Chemicals that are currently of interest to the chemical carcinogenesis
research community are indicated in Appendix 1 to the Statement of Work. Chemicals that have either a low or no
demand in the future may be removed from the list. The contractor will be required to prepare analogs, derivatives and
metabolites of compounds within the chemical classes as needed. Some synthesis will be to replace depleted stocks
of chemicals currently carried on the website http://www.NCIRepository.org.
