This position is located in the Framework Management Division (FMD) which is part of the Financial Portfolio Management Department in the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). The Syndication Officer is responsible for conducting asset placements with a wide range of investors in order to facilitate the transfer of credit risk of multiple asset classes in the Finance Program thereby accomplishing two objectives. First, to rebalance the portfolio and secondly, to enable OPIC to generate additional investment capacity through well-structured transfers of credit risk that are consistent with OPIC's objectives and stakeholder interests.

Incumbent of this position serve as a senior officer managing syndication transactions and asset sales of the most complex, sensitive, or precedent setting finance projects. Incumbent is responsible for undertaking all tasks required to process transactions associated with syndications and assets sales for negotiating, structuring, obtaining approval, and documentation. Work involves coordinating major financing or international projects, including providing advice and staff support on planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating issues related to credit, risk, and OPIC policy. Work may be conducted in any country and any sector.
